Margaret Spellings & Company is a public policy and strategic consulting firm committed to providing expertise to solve our nation’s most challenging issues. Led by former U.S. Secretary of Education and White House Domestic Policy Advisor Margaret Spellings, the firm offers extensive experience crafting and framing major public policy on national, state, and local issues.

Leveraging the experience of our experts and deep understanding in the public and private sectors, Margaret Spellings & Company works with a range of clients including for-profit companies, non-profit organizations, foundations, and education and technology firms to advance their goals and drive positive change.  We work across the public and private sectors to provide strategic counsel, forge partnerships, and develop effective public policy.

In addition to numerous posts in the White House and at the U.S. Department of Education, our strategists have honed their skills in the policy arena, having served in senior positions within Congress and state government, directed policy and research development at influential think tanks, developed and executed national education reform initiatives, consulted with postsecondary institutions with a global footprint, and mapped out public policy initiatives for non-profit organizations.

With our experience leading a federal agency, we understand the ins and outs of managing federal programs and initiatives and translating that knowledge into effective strategies for our clients.
