Robin Gilchrist

Senior Advisor for Global Projects

Robin Gilchrist is Senior Advisor for Global Projects to Margaret Spellings and Company. An expert in public affairs, Gilchrist is experienced in strategic planning, program formation and implementation, and policy development in the field of education.

Prior to joining Margaret Spellings and Company, Gilchrist served as Chief of Staff and Senior Counselor at the US Department of Education. In addition to domestic education duties, Gilchrist was responsible for the Department's international outreach. She managed multilateral and bilateral relationships and developed strategic partnerships. She has worked on initiatives and declarations at the G8, UNESCO, OECD, APEC, and G8/BMENA, as well as with individual countries.

Gilchrist previously served as Assistant Commissioner of Education in Texas, responsible for programs promoting student academic achievement and literacy acquisition.

Gilchrist holds a masters' degree in public affairs from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor's degree from St. Edward's University.
